my two toddlers which are 4 and 3...have a habit of sleeping in the bed with my husband and I! we are so tired of being squished, kicked, rolled on, and not bein able to just have alone time! we have tried everything! tvs on, no tv, taking them back to their rooms, letting them sleep on a pile or sleeping bag beside the bed, but nothing seems to work! What can we do?

We have the same issue with our 2 year old. Recently we've started putting him on an air mattress in our room. He's been sleeping fine on that because I can still talk to him when he wakes up at night, which happens a lot. Good luck!

Hi Julie,
You are having to undo the routine you have let your kids get into for a long long time and thats going to be hard work. I think getting them in their own room/rooms is the right thing to do, at 4 & 3 they are no longer babies, and you need your bed back!
Choose a good routine for bedtime and stick with it! even if you have to put them back into bed 100 times you have to stick with it, give in once and you will not get this sorted. The key is to be consistant, explain what is going to happen and follow through.
Your kids will cry, make you feel guilty as hell, and you will doubt what you are doing, but you have to focus on the end result..... either that or have 2 growing kids in your bed for a long time to come......Be strong & good luck xx

i had that problem with my oldest child. I took her to the store and asked her if I let her pick out a night light would she sleep in her room. She ended up with one of those fish lights (it goes around and around). she has slept in her room ever since. I hope this helps.
