i had the same problem with my eldest wen she first went in her bed, but i just put the stair gate across her bedroom door and even if she got out of bed she couldnt go anywhere and eventually realised there was no point in getting up, she had tantrums at first but she soon got used to it!

when we moved our boy to a toddler bed we had to sit in there with him at night (in the dark and being quiet) until he would fall asleep. each time he would stick his feet out to get up we would just stick him back in. it took about 2 weeks, and up to an hour each night, but he got it and now goes right down.

Hi, I also had the same problem with my son (who is now 2yrs & 3 months). During the night he would crawl into my bed and because i was so tired, i just let him sleep with me. Over the holidays, we managed to break this cycle. It takes about a week and they get used to sleeping in their bed. Every time they get out of bed, you need to just pick them up (don't talk to them), place them back in bed, give them a kiss and tuck them in. The first couple of nights are always the hardest but i promise, it does get easier

I used a bed tent, and it worked like a charm . My little guy LOVED it

Where do you get one? Can you use it on a regular bed?
