Kids do go thru a period where they do like being with their Dad more than their Mom, but remember there was a time they liked you more. Dads usually rough house more and the kids like that kind of play, its different than we play with the kids. And in this house their Dad is a novelty, they hardly see him during the week. My older kids aren't as clingy as my 3 year old so it is a stage. Don't worry they love you too :)

i have that every day with my 3yr old he thinks there is nothing like his dad he cries when his dad goes out of the house and wants his dad to feed him i just leave him off as when he wants a cuddle or to go to sleep he wants me i wouldnt take any notice of it its just a phase they are going through

My daughter is the same. She's so funny, when she hears the car she runs to the door and then runs back into the sitting room. When my husband opens the doors she gets to run through the house into his arms, so funny.

My daughter is the same way, but I GLADLY welcome the break that it gives me!!

i work part time too but i only do weekends and the odd night shift in the week. i get home on a sunday and she runs and greets me then runs back to daddy too but that is fine for me coz it means i can wind down and relax a bit whilst he is taking care then when it comes to bedtime she brings me a book and asks to go to bed and thats when we spend some time together so i still dont miss out. shes just a daddys girl

My 3 year old is a total Daddy's boy and I think it is wonderful. It doesn't mean they love him more though. In our household I think part of it is that I do the disciplining, and daily chores with him and daddy gets to just play.So after entertaining them all day, enjoy the break when daddy comes home.

Do they get less time with their Daddy and more time with you? If so it would make sense that they would want to be with their Daddy.

I agree with Zoe. As of right now my 3 year old and 2 year old will basically stop what we are doing and go straight to daddy when he gets home. It's just because they don't see daddy as much as they see mommy. So I'm enjoying my time with my 4 month old until he starts doing the same thing.

I have this with my daughter its normal. its only because they miss him when hes at work and they are making the most of the time they have before he goes back again. remember they see you all day everyday and i suppose theres only so long they can take playing with mummy and want daddy to play with instead.
