I have 2 1/2 year old twin girls and we just started the potty training this week. Not a lot of success but we'll keep trying.

I agree with Michelle, a low pressure technique usually works best. The only reason we have it in our heads that a child has to be potty-trained by 3 is because of preschools. There is nothing wrong developmentally with a 3-year-old who still hasn't mastered the potty, and boys often take longer than girls. It'll come, I promise :)

My son is 2 1/2 year old. He will only urinate on the potty but refuses to poop on the potty. It has been a long battle. But we just keep encouraging him. Is frustrating but encouragment.

hi my little girl is 4 and only just started to use the toilet, she didnd like the potty, we kept putting her on the toilet but wouldnt do anything, it was getting very frustrating as would be starting school this sept, in the end we just ignored the situation and she surprised us by doing it on her own, my advice is dont nag him/her and just ignore it and they might surprise you, good luck

what about placing his potty in a more comfortable environment for him.....if he like to watch tv then maybe in the corner of the living room something more soothing to him iv heard that certain areas of the house maybe more soothing/relaxing to him.....try a schedule for him watch him and see if he goes on a routine
