Yah. good advice. It does take patience and a strict routine. I used to sit in the room with my son. He'd be on the bed and I'd be on the floor. Eventually he would just go to sleep. Then i would just get up and go in my room. Then i got tired of doing that. I felt like if he is old enough to work my cell phone then he is old enough to learn to lay in his room without me going in there with him everynight until he went to sleep. Sometimes he'd cry, but because its already bedtime he would already be tired and wouldnt cry for too long. Hope everything works out for u! =)

Hi I have 2 boys! It's easier when you can put them to bed at the same time! But with my oldest it was just setting up the routine. Have you done the reading the bed time story to him? I hopped on my son's bed to give him a cuddle, read him a story and then said goodnight, I'm just outside. Blew him kisses and left hid door open with a light on in the hallway and then that's it. If you establish a strict routine, they fight it but eventually have to give in if you follow it every night. If he came out, I would let him cuddle for 2 minutes and then I tuck him back in. Only one chance though. I also made him proud of having his own room. Letting him pick his first duvet cover. Telling him babies sleep with Mummy but now he is a big boy he get's a big boy bed etc. Hope some of this might help!! :) Good luck, Joy
