Hes used the potty several times, but then he quit. He won't even wear his underwear. I've bought all kinds of different underwear. In a rut.

My daughter was really excited when we found an Elmo potty training book. It had color sheets and a progress chart with stickers! We bought a little potty for her and had a "potty party" where she got big girl panties and we even had cake and ice cream. We made it like a birthday party. Every time she went to potty, she knew she got a sticker (we let her pick out whatever one she wanted) and a treat (a cookie, yogurt bites, whatever they like best). We would ask her about every 30 mins to 1 hour a day. After that, the rewards got bigger. If she told us on her own, she got 2 stickers and 2 treats or whatever works. The most important thing to remember is to not get upset when they have accidents. They will, believe me! But soon enough they get embarrassed enough that they will do better and try on their own. Patience is difficult but it really does pay off in the end! Our daughter is only 2 and she goes on her own now to the potty.
