i would LOVE it if she would start telling me what she wants, instead of whining at me, because she knows I know what she wants. i talk to her all the time and say words when i get her a drink, or some food. she talks some, when she wants, she knows please and thank you, and says a few other things. she has started talking a lot of babbles lately so i think she wants to talk but just can't form the words yet? she's also been taking off her diaper if i don't put pants back on her, does that mean she may be ready for potty training? if so here is my dilemma, she doesn't talk to me yet, and our bathroom is up a flight of stairs so i thought about putting the potty chair downstairs so she could make it, but i also have a son who's 11 months and know i won't be able to keep it away from him, but i'd like to bring it out so she has some interest. any advice would be great thanks!

Well first with the talking she is your first so it is easy to not enjoy the ride and get lost in the details she says small words and that is on par with what she should be doing and there is no really effctive way to make them talk but to have her stop whining give her another form of comunication like baby sign language it helps alot I used it with both of my girls and they are both wonderful talkers now as for potty training keeping a potty chair is a good idea and don't worry about the your younger son checking it out unless he will have a head start on intrest in potty training
