How do I keep my weaned 15 month old's hands out of my shirt.

I weaned my daughter at 14 months. Now she keeps putting her hands down my shirt. I think it is for comfort since she does it most often when she is hungry, but my family has issues with it. I don't want to push her away, but don't know how to stop her.

I weened my daughter when she was 8 months because I was returning to work and school and was unable to pump. She is now 28 months and she still puts her hand down my shirt. I just take her hand out if I can do it descretly and tell her no. It definently is a comfort thing because my daughter will not even take a bottle anymore. She will probably do it for a long time. My aunt breastfed her daughter, who continued putting her hands down my aunts shirt till she was about 6 years old. I don't believe that it is a big deal as long as it is not offending the people around you.

try putting something in her hand or gently removing...families are the is a very comforting spot for her for a long time to have a close bond and you are right to not want to push her away...

you just gentley remove it with out saying anything or making a big deal out of it just carry on doing what ever you were doing. she'll soon grow out of it.
