MY 3 YEAR OLD LEARNED HOW TO READ WHEN SHE WAS 2... WE KEPT READING THE SAME BOOK I HAD WHEN I WAS KINDERGARTEN AND SHE CAN READ MOST OF THE WORDS EXCEPT FOR A COUPLE SMALL WORDS BUT SHES GETTING TO LEARN THEM. KEEP IT UP SO OFTEN N EVENTUALLY HELL REMEMBER THE WORDS. MY DAUGHTER DOES NOT NO THE ABCS IN ORDER YET... BUT SHE KNOWS WHAT THEY LOOK LIKE N HER NUMBERS AND SHE CAN COUNT TO 10 NOW. SHE KNOWS HER SHAPES/COLORS. CAN PUT A PUZZLE TOGETHER FOR AGEGS 3-4. SHE LOVES TO LEARN THOUGH. DOES HE IS HE INTERESTED IN EDUCATIONAL TOYS OR BOOKS?

this depends on the child. Is it working when u try teach him. My eldest could read at three but she is now 7 and her teacher classifies her as gifted and says she is at a 12yr olds level. If hes ready. try talking to him about what things say around you and what sounds the letters make, how they sound when u put them together. I have NEVER brought any of those baby learning systems.

There is a free website called starfall.com that has a great reading program. It starts with the alphabet, and goes on from there, My 2 year old learned his alphabet and is now learning on a higher level. I love it.
