How i got my daughter off the paci was making her throw them away. she understood the concept of the trash. so i had her gather them all up and say goodbye to them. she put them in the trash by her self as we praised her for doing so. that night she cried but when we told her that she threw them in the trash she just gave in to the was hard but it works. good luck

Our daughter will be 2 next month and we just took her binky away a couple days ago. We're just quitting cold turkey, but I've known many people that just take a scissors and snip the end to make so there's no suction. They say kids lose interest pretty quickly since it's not doing them any good anymore. Good luck!

My oldest is the only one that would take a paci! Her pediatrition told me to just make sure that we take it form her b 4 she was 18 months because that is when children start developing long term memory! If you take it away b 4 then they will only remember it for a few day to a week but if you wait till after and their long term memory is already developed then it can b miserable for everyone! I would take away asap and try everything you can to focus your attention on other things to keep her occupied!
