I'm no rookie mom. I've got a nearly 7-year-old that has turned out pretty well, (in my humble opinion anyway). And #2 is 18 months. I need some new ideas on things to keep him BUSY!!! Mostly ideas for at home. We do plenty like go to playgroups, the YMCA, etc. But at home the kiddo is on the go ALL DAY!! My daughter was more content, even at this age entertaining herself.

What do you gals do to entertain your little ones!!??

I've got a 2yr old boy and he too is constantly on the go. I have him help with the washing up, loading the washer and dryer, hanging out the laundry, dusting, vacuuming, etc, he just loves to be involved in whatever I'm doing. He also has a magnetic drawing board 'cause I couldn't keep up with the amount of paper we were going through in a day. Pavement chalks for out on the patio are a life saver, he also loves painting. Guessing he's probably got a short attention span at this age too, cause I'm always jumping from one activity to another and back again. What about baking? Make some pastry and let him play with it like dough, doesn't matter if he eats it (NOT an egg pastry!), you can even bake his masterpieces! We also make dens by hanging spare sheets over the back of the sofa, fill with cushions and toys, loads of fun. :)
