How do you pottytrain a 2 year old boy?

My son is 2 years old, and i am trying to potty train him directly on the toilet, he only tells me he wants to go to the toilet when he already did his business in his nappy. He is also not talking yet but sometimes i can understand what he is saying (noises he makes and when trying to speak)

Honestly, it sounds like he's not fully ready yet. Here's a checklist from to give you an idea of some of the things that tell you your child is ready to be potty trained. If you start too early, it could make the process take longer. I've also been told by several friends to avoid pull-ups. The only thing a pull-up does is make it easier for you. It's just a diaper without the tabs. Your son will still do his business in it. They are also a lot more expensive than diapers. A friend of mine has her 4 year old in them. She's been in them for a year. She told me not long ago that she WISHES she had never started her on them. Anywho, here's the link. Lots of other interesting stuff there too if you wanna check it out.

Here's the checklist. Keep in mind that not every single thing has to be checked off at once in order for a child to be ready:

Here's a good article about what NOT to do (like start too early..that's #1):

well since he has the basic a part get pull ups if you want then how my mother in law did it she would put a cheerio in the toilet and tell him to sink the cheerio and try to get him to use more words if you can.
