How do you take the binky away without them going crazy? :)

my niece is two and i baby sit her mon-fri one day he mom lost the binky and she asked about it for a while and she just kept saying we will find it well they never found it and she really didnt seem to care also when i watch her and she asks for it i tell her we gave her binkys to little babies that needed a binky because she is a big girl now

Yeah, you can't avoid the "going crazy", you just have to deal with it. It only lasts a few days, each day a little less crazy than the one before and next thing you know, they don't even remember they were ever an addict ;-) Be strong!

I just got rid of my sons binky. it was about time. hes 2 and a half. but what i did was i just didnt give it to him one night. and they say it takes three days to break a habit in a baby. he was a lil fussy the first night and then a lil less the next night and the third night i think he forgot he ever even had a binky. its hard the first couple days but just slowly let your child have it less. like i cut it down to him only having it for sleepy time. then i only let him have it at night and then finally i just didnt let him have it at all. good luck :)
