We have been trying to work with our 4 yr old on his numbers, letters and shapes. He knows his colors really well but refuses to learn the other things we cant even get up to the number 4. he is off in la la land and acts like a smartass ne time we ask him to count ne thing or work on his ABC's it is getting frustrating. he has the leap frog toys, a "computer" that teaches the ABC's and 123's but when he plays with it just hits the same button over and over to make noise... need help here.

My daughter is four as well, right now she knows her letters, numbers and colors. She can also spell her name, mine and some household things. It takes time to get them to learn this. So what I did was I typed out the abc's on the computer in big letters and then I laminated it, I gave her markers to trace the letters and then you can wash it off. I also typed out things around the house and taped it to them. The couch, chair. dryer, etc. We go around the house and read off the letters. She thinks these are games and after doing it over time she remembers what letters are what and now knows how to spell words as well. You should make learning into something fun at this age or else they will not want to do it. Hope this helps!!!
