How old is your child and how many hours do they sleep during the day and night?

I am just wondering I know what the guildlines are for a 3 year what they should be sleeping at night and during the day but what I want to know is if your children sleep what the guildlines say or less or more?

I have a 3 1/ 2 year old.. at school if he takes a nap he sleeps 30 min to 2 hours, he no longer naps at home. At night generally he doesn't go to sleep earlier than 10 and he is up as soon as the sun comes up.  Thank goodness for daylight savings time b/c now he'll go till 7:30,8:00 in th morning.   He doesn't get nearly what I've seen the guidelines say, and really he never  has slept as much as I have heard for his age.

My son is turning three this tues.. he is just starting to refuse his 2 hour nap on some days - especially a low activity day.. but he sleeps from 8 to about 6:30.

My daughter is 2yrs 5 months. She usually is asleep by 8.30-9pm and wakes about 7.30. She would sleep longer but we hav a 8 month old baby that wakes every morning at this time. She naps usually for an hour a day, although this is not everyday and doesn't usually affect her bed/wake up time.

My little girl is two and she sleeps around eleven to twelve hours a night.  We put her down around 9 pm and she wakes around 9 to am. We stopped putting her down for naps about two months ago because if she took a nap she would not go to bed till about midnight.

My son is 21 months and he sleeps form 7pm til 7-8am, with at least one but sometimes two day sleeps of around 1-2 hours. He has always been a good sleeper, and he really needs his naps during the day because he gets very cranky without at least one!!

My son is 2yr 3mo. and he takes a 2-2.5 hour nap most days, although lately it's been about every other day. He goes to be by 10p at the latest (usually) and is up around 8 am. He sleeps straight through, thankfully. Hopefully that will still be the case once our daughter arrives in the next 10 days or so.

It's recommended kids get naps until their 4-6. Though I think that is ridiculous. My own stopped napping around 2 - 21/2 years. My 4 year old sleeps on average 12 hours a night and my 8 year old 10 hours. Our youngest (22 months) sleeps 12 hours too and gets a 1 1/2 nap in the afternoon. She's slowly getting herself out of them though.

My daughter is two, she goes to bed at 8:30 pm and wakes between 7-9 am depending on her nap the day before.  She is beginning to refuse them so sleeping more at night.  And with her earlier to bed does not mean earlier she will wake.
