I have a daughter that turned 4 in July and I was wondering what the average height is for her age. If anyone knows the average height, or has a 4 year old themselves I am curious to know how she measures up, thanks!

You can look it up!!!

The whole reason I posted a question about this is simply because I don't understand those growth charts! I looked at that for about 20min and still can't understand where my daughter falls for her height/age ratio. Baylee is 4 years old and is 46 in tall and weighs 48lbs.

if she just turned 4

At 4 years:

your child is 48 pounds, and that is
at the 97th percentile for weight.

your child is 46 inches, and that is
at greater than the 97th percentile for height if she's slightly older the number will be slightly different

Thank you soooooo much! This calculator is perfect! Very easy to use, I really appreciate you posting it!

no problem...those charts are a pain

My 15 month old was 32 inches at 13 and a half months. She is tall, and I don't know why I am only 5 foot 5 inches, and my husband is just under 6 foot.

My daugher is 3 and a half and at her 3 yr. checkup she was 34inches tall and in the 2nd percentile. She is really short for her age. She is now, i would guess almost 3 ft. tall and still small for her age. I wouldn't worry too much about her height. As long as she is growing at a normal RATE. my daughter has been at the bottom of the height curve since birth, but is consistently at pretty much the same place on the curve. (my hubby and I are both on the low side of average, so we weren't expecting a pro basketball player out of either of our kids lol).
