MY SON IS BECOMING VERY STUBBORN ...............HE SHOUTS AT TOP OF HIS VOICE TO GET THE THING HE WANTS. WILL KEEP ON SHOUTING UNTIL HE GETS IT. SOMETIMES I BE LOUND WITH HIM TO SAY NO HE STARTS CRYING LYE DOWN ON THE FLOOR. PLEASE HELP. I GIVE HIM TIMEOUT BUT DOES IT HELP.......DOES HE UNDERSTAND?KINDLY HELP

He is learning to communicate. Try to be patient and use different approaches with him such as giving him different options that you approve of. Also if he is doing something he shouldn't be then have him do something he is allowed to do and enjoys doing it. Also as a parent I have learned early on to choose my battles. Another big thing is constantly talk to him and explain to him why he may or may not be allowed to do something. He may not understand right away but he will learn.

I would check out the stuff at Love and Logic. It is a kind and gentle way of parenting - they have some free stuff online, some books, audio files and webinars you can pay for. also their books are usually available at the library.
