My two year old is sweet as can be, But i am having the hardest time getting rid of that Blasted Binkie. I have tried hot sauce, cutting it down in size, saying the Binkie Fairy came and took it away,to end just taking it away from her all together.. I took off Spring break just to break her free of that thing and needless to say SHE WON!! I am open to all suggestion. I also need to mention I have an 1year old as well but he doesnt desire it as much as my 2yr does

Sometimes you have to just go cold turkey and take it away and not look back no matter how much crying and whining they do we had to do that with our daughter and her bottle as neither of mine liked soothers and never really had them.

Cheryl,

I understand what you are going through. I have twins who are almost 3 and we broke them of the binkies when they were about 2 years old. We started by telling them they could only have it at naptime and bedtime. After a few weeks of that, they could only have it at bedtime. Then, after my son bit a chunk out of his (huge choking risk, in my opinion), we just took them away completely. It was hard for a few days, but just stick with it and it will get better. Good luck!
