Looking for suggestions to try to help get my son to poop on the toilet. He has been peeing on the toilet for some time now but will only poop in his diaper or pull-up.

my son went poop on the toilet at daycare, but refused to do it at home til after he was three. We tried alot of things, none really worked, he just decided on his own when it was time. Sticker rewards helped with peeing. Good luck, have patience.

I have the same problem with my 3 year old son. He says he's scared to go poop on the potty. He stands to pee, so I think sitting just freaks him out. I was told by a friend to buy one of the potty seats that sets on the big toilet, then they won't feel like they are going to fall in, but will still use the big toilet. This might be worth a try!

My 3.5 year old (girl) was the same way. Then we got her to poop in the training potty, although she would still pee in the big potty. I guess it just clicked one day for her to poop in the big potty. I guess completely taking away the training potty seat one day while she wasn't there helped a bit. She was aggravated with not having it, but she finally did it.
