appears to be a comfort issue. put water in the bottle at night, and elevate her head and back to avoid dental/ear canal issues. try to make sure she eats heartily for dinner and maybe even a snack before bedtime to help her tummy stay full and help her sleep better. idk if you're nursing, but if you are, wean her from the breast first, then worry about the bottle weaning. many moms, myself included, found it much easier to go cold-turkey than to keep the bottles in sight. their memories are not so well advanced that they won't forget about the bottle in less than a week. so if you can bear it until then, you're good.

this may sound mean but i had mine watch me throw them all in the trash. she was not eating because she wanted just a bottle. it was hard for about 3 days then she just got over it. i got her the cups with a rubber top and she did fine. however i would not let her take them to bed with her. if she wanted to get up in the night for a drink she would go to the fridge.

my son timothy stopped exactly a week ago. he is 16 1/2 months. he was only using it for nap and bedtime. we did it cold turkey. we have a barrier between the kitchen and living room where he plays, and whil he was watching i went to the cupboard and put all the bottles and tops ina plastic bag. he hasnt thrown a fit or anything. we bought him some sippy cups and a few trucks, to tell him he was agood boy for getting off the bottle.

this is the sippy cup we got him http://ep.yimg.com/ca/I/bestbabygear_207... its got the rubbery like top like a bottle, but she/he has to suck out of it like a sippy cup. he lovesss it!
