My son loves the pool, but refuses any kind of flotation device. He will go under water, kick his feet and move his arms, but can't quite seem to put them together. He was in lessons at six months, but at that age it is more about water safety. Any suggestions on how to get my little fish swimming on his own? I am not a fan of "just throw him in he will figure it out."

I have to say Sherri and Jessica my son is 18 months old and we have tried every life jacket including both you spoke of. He has a complete meltdown when anything is on him and he is to young to reason with. So I am at my wits end. He loves the pool and does really well just can't get the arms and legs to go at the same time..

i'd have to disagree with sherri i got one of those suites for my daughter and it helps float yes but does not keeo their facde out the water to prevent from drowning how old is your son? my 3 yr old had a floaty that goes on her arms and around her chest and clips in the back it works great
