I have a 2 year old daughter who screams most of everything she has to say. She demands things and when she doesn't get her own way she cries and cries. I would like to try and stop it before it gets to out of hand. Any suggestions would be appreciated!!

I have a 16month old who also will act out like this I have a book called the happiest toddler on the block and it seems to help. Also she might be acting out for a few reasons. Now this is just us but I find my self getting ticked off with her for like climbing on stuff and yell at her to stop. That I have found is why she yells cuz I have demonstrated that same action to get results. So we have a time out chair. And insted of yelling now the first thing I do is take her over to the chair and sit her down and then communicate to her in a caulm voice what she did worng.... then I set the egg timer for 2 min and when it goes off I give her a hug and tell her I love her. This is what has worked for me and it has worked as long as I dont get lazzy:)- Hope this helps

I've noticed just putting him in a safe place, turning my back and walking a short distance away helps. Then come back and calmly ask them to point or show you what they want. The screams are mostly frustration, I'm told, at trying to communicate and not able to get it out. Baby sign language has helped some as well.
