When my son started biting, he was too young to understand an explanation as to why biting is wrong. So, what we did was immediately respond with an "ouch" (not hard since it actually hurt a lot!) and tell him "no bite." Then he learned what a bite was and that he should not do it. He stopped!

I agree with Amy,try first to see what happens at school. Then try to explain her that what she does its hurting the children ,again and again.Try to find somebody at school to be able to help you solve this problem...

Does she do it at home as well or just at school? I think if it is just at school then she knows it is wrong, but something or someone at school is provoking her. Talk to the teachers at her school to see what happens right up to her bitting. It could be her way of reaching out to try and get the other kids to play with her or maybe it is to get attention. Her teachers may just be too busy to "relate" with her. Also discipline needs to be set up for her and her bitting. Talk with her teachers and get a game plan together to get this stopped.
