My daughter turned three and was not potty trained yet, so about a week or two after her birthday I just got fed up and put her in panties when we were in the house and asked her every few minutes if she had to pee and would take her even if she said no. Of course we had accidents but I'm lucky to say it only took about three full days and she was potty trained. We also had a potty training book we would read to her, and she hated being called a baby so we told her only babies wore diapers, big girls went in the potty. It worked! Good luck, it will happen when they're ready.

Don't get discouraged yet. Alot of things I have been reading on the internet say that children are not really properly trained until almost 4. I know its stressful. I have a 2 1/2 yr. old and it just seems like every else's kid got it really quick but mine. I have heard a few people suggest just putting her in panties and reminding her not to get the pretty panties wet. Basically get a whole whack of panties and yes an accident is inevitable but bring her right to the potty afterwards and tell her that she has to pee-pee in the potty. I haven't fully commited to this technique yet as I just work so often I can't just be with her all day to try.

Good luck!
