Any ideas on lunch time ideas for my two year old. She isn't picky at all but I still feel like I give her the same 4 or 5 things throughout our week.

my daughter eats the same 3-4 things for lunch, dinner is a little more varied of course. I would say as long as she is happy then I wouldn't worry. If she wasn't eating then she might want variety.

One thing I do is make the typical sandwich on different types of bread. My son likes PBJ on a toasted waffle of tortilla. If she enjoys veggies, then doing veggies with hummus is a good one (also with pita bread). Black beans with rice is good. I have the same problem, though. Don't feel bad...it sounds like she eats pretty well.

Hi Paige,

I give my daughter everything!  The only food she officially won't eat is asparagus.  But for the most part she eats tons of vegetables, lots of fruit, she loves meat and pasta and of course everything dairy. :)  My problem is it always seems to be the same...sandwich, mac and cheese, chicken nuggets, quesadilla, and I always give her a side of veggies and fruit with every meal!  I was just wondering if anyone had new ideas for lunch.... spice up the routine so to say! ;o)

Hi Elizabeth, I to have trying times with my 2yr.old and he's got food allergies so the list on what I can give him is pretty slim. One trick that works with me is to let them help make the lunch (if able). A good example is if you make a sandwhich, let her help put it together and use a cookie cutter to make a funny shaped sandwhich. You can get a kids cook book and try one recipe a week. That way your not flooding her with new foods and she has a chance to get used to the new stuff you make for her (if she's never had it before). What foods are you giving her? If she won't eat anything new, it's not a bad thing as long as she gets all the nutrition she needs. Hope this helps! Paige ;)
