I'm the boss, right? Why doesn't my 3yr aold agree

So I am trying to figure out how to explain to my 3yr old daughter that we are in charge, not her. It has never been an issue until now but as she has made friends and seen how they behave it seems like she is forgetting her role in our family. Is this just a pushing boundaries phase? A terrible 3s phase? I feel like I don't have the words to explain to her why I am Mom and she is the kid. I feel like her life is nothing but time-outs right now and maybe that is just how it has to be, but I feel bad because she is always saying or doing something that I have to discipline her for. Any advice?

well what exactly does she do?... I mean don't forget that talking to them and explaining them in simple words, things that are right and wrong will work. Use a firm voice and make sure u get to their eye level. Use time outs and enforce them but only not that often. Praise more for any good things she does. Maybe she is in need of more attention that is why she is trying to push boundaries. I hope this works good luck
