I have a 2 8/12 year old and a 1 4/12 year old. My 2 year old still puts everything else in his mouth and my 1 year old still isnt sure about some things but as a younger sibling copies everything her brother does. I need activites that i can do for both of them at the same time. Something that entertains them both. Something thats not gunna take me hours to clean up so i can spend less time cleaning more time with them. My daughter likes books but hasnt learned the concept of being easy she still rips them and she loves putting paper and anything that looks like food in her mouth. PLEASE HELP

Check out this website of activities for toddlers - www.teachingyourtoddler.com. It might help.

I definitely agree with Andrea... buy hardcopies. I would try making reading time fun and interesting. My son loves to be read to, but when I kept my cousin's son, he was a little harder to entertain. What I did was spread out a blanket, sat the two of them down and got out the book my uncle got my son. It's called Jungle Tails (written by Wendy Wax & illustrated by Michael Terry) The ISBN# is 0794409407. This book comes with 3 puppets (which are of the characters in the book). This might keep them interested. Or you could make puppets with them for the books they already have... You could also try either an indoor or outdoor picnic! the indoor picnic, you could lay out a blanket in the living room and put on a nice cartoon movie or something. You could do Bubble Art. I found this online and it's somewhat messy, but you could put your kids in some old play clothes and do this outside. Put different colors of food coloring in different bottles of bubbles and blow them onto paper (works best if the paper is FLAT) and they'll be fascinated with all the different colors. I know my 4 year old enjoyies it! I hope I've helped. You could also google fun, affordable activities and find TONS of things to do! Good luck!

Buy some hard copy books that make noises and have animals. You can teach them the animals and what sound they make.
