My son is 22 month old. I introduce potty seat when he was around 17-18 month.I use to tell him this the potty seat, you have to seat over here and do the potty or pee and now you are big boy, big boy don't do potty in nappy. Sometime i even take him with me and tell him see mama do potty here so you will have to learn. Than after 20 month I stictly start taking him to the bathroom every 2hrs for pee or as soon as he drinks something and i know his potty time so i always take him to the potty and he start doing and I always praise him, that Moksh did good job, yee, you are such good boy..mama love you etc..still I am doing same thing, some day I get my rewards as he take me to the bathroom and say poo poo.. but still not all the time.. It takes time so Good Luck!

when ever they are ready you need a potty let him have a play with it so he knows its there even if he just sits on it at first thats a start if he does a wee or poo prayse him loads even giving him a sticker every time he goes and say what a good boy he is if he does any thing in the potty clap your hands and tell him well done. a sign to potty train them is wen he takes his nappy of all the time. dont rush him he will do it in his own time.
