With my oldest child, who was potty trained at 20 months, I used the potty train in 3 days method.  You can get the book off Amazon.  It is really simple, just takes time and patience.  The main thing is that you and that child spend 3 days together at home with no interuptions.  You get rid of diapers and go only underwear/panties.  (with the younger child you may want to do pull-ups at nap time and bed time and call them sleeping pants not diapers)  I promise it works, and I plan on using it on my youngest in a couple of months.  The trick is that once you start on panties/underwear, you DO NOT go back to diapers.  Otherwise, you are training them that it is ok to go potty in their diaper.

I tried the potty but waited until the summer so he could run about with nothing on and I could catch him & sit him straight on it then dance around a like a loon singing Yes well done which he found highly amusing! Potty worked for a few days then had to move onto the toilet with a seat and it clicked within a week after that because it was Grown Up!  But I still made a big fuss over how good he was at doing a wee wee.  Dont expect her to wake up for a pee tho cos that took me at least another 6months.  Children will do things at their own pace tho, good luck

I seem to have the same problem.  She was doing well for awhile and swore to me that when she turned 3 she would do it everytime.  Well I sorry to say that that didn't happen.  Hopefully someone will give us the perfect answer.
