Hi....my son is 2 yrs 6 mo's and goes to day care 2x's a week and is with his grandma the other three days....has gone in the potty a few times at school and even got him into pullups now and even had him wear big boy underwear "like daddy's" but all of a sudden he refuses to go in the potty and doesn't tell us he has to go until after he goes in his diaper. I've tried giving him treats if he goes in the potty, i've tried the potties with the singing songs if it gets wet, etc. but nothings working. Wanted to get him into montesorri school in March but he has to be potty trained....I'm not sure what to do to get him trained?

It sounds crazy... but let him pee outside!! I promise it will work! it makes it fun for them, especially if they are too little to completely understand why they cant go in a diaper anymore. Songs, cheerios, and treats never worked for my son, but letting him pee outside did! :) good luck

Fruit loops or cheerios in the potty. I totally forgot about that. My sister told me that too. Great idea!

How old is your son? When my daughter was little, she started to go on the potty, but stopped, much like your son. When they are ready, they will do it. I found that if you pushed them to go, they wont. Is your son in daycare? My son, now 3, was potty trained 2 weeks before he turned 3 (Sept). I think with him around the other kids, it helped him to see them go and just followed suit. It's hard, but in time, they will. Believe me. Maybe reading him potty books might help too. Hope that helps some.

try getting a potty out of the ordinary ... something inspirational for your toddler to want to sit on (suggestions) the royal prince potty it plays a song when your child has used the potty . hope it works out 4 u _ mommy Deniece
