I agree, if his weight his ok, don't worry. My son was a big eater then all of sudden he refused to eat anything, but I'm not a shory order cook so if he didn't want it then I guess he would go hungry. Then funny thing is he would refuse to eat a certain type pf food one day and then love it the next, and then hate it again. So with toddlers you can never tell, just keep giving them food and they'll eat when they are hungry, just don't make the mistake of always giving them what they like and if they don't eat something making something else, becuase then you will be grooming a picky eater. And congrats on nursing, there is never such a thing as nursing too much, it's the breast thing you can do. So if he is nursing you know he's getting what he needs, but I would say maybe by 18 months try to cut down a little, and offer more solids. And who knows maybe your little guy might be teething, and nursing makes him feel better and eatting makes his teeth hurt.

They say that children will eat when they are hungry and I find that to be true. You may want to consider though how often he is breastfeeding. He may be taking in more milk then he needs and is therefore not hungry when it is time to eat solids.

Sometimes if baby is still nursing and getting calories from milk, they can go long periods without solid foods. Check to see if any new painful teeth are coming in, like molars or incisors. My son refused food a lot when he was teething. You could also try regulating your times to nurse so that it doesn't interfere with meal times. Good luck and hang in there.
