I bribed my son LOL. I went to the store bought him 3 monster trucks and tacked them on the wall over the toilet and he could not have them until he pooped in the potty. It took him a few weeks but he finally got it.

I think that all kids are different but my son didn't want to feel pressured to do it. Try letting her run around naked from the waist down...if she can see herself having an accident it may disgust her and then she will go on the potty. Also try putting her potty chair (if you have one) in the living room or her room/playroom and maybe she will go on her own.

We are also in the process of potty training our 2 1/2 year old. We started introducing the idea to her just after she turned two and she did the exact same thing your daughter does. We now have her just sitting on the potty in the morning and before bedtime and she gets a little sticker for trying. She doesn't scream anymore. She has yet to commit to actually peeing in the toilet but I think its a step in the right direction if she doesn't mind sitting there. We are also trying the panty thing but so far she seems oblivious to her wetness. I am a little scared to just leave her in panties all day. I am also nerve wracked about the whole process as well.

You can ask all the question you need to, ask all kinds of moms questions young and old moms and take out what works for you.

I would say she may not be ready if she is screaming.  Do you think she is screaming because it hurt to go or she just does not want to sit there?  Treats never worked for my girls, but treats work for some kids, but be sure to praise her and show her how happy it makes you when she pee's.  Praising going a very long way with kids. I used both plastic underwear and  normal underwear.  The plastic underwear help them feel wet more then daipers or pullup, but less mess then normal underwear.  But with underwear they know they peed.

Is your 2 years old dry in the morning, or dry after nap?  If so she is really to be potty trained.  If not you may just want to start by trying to take her potty when she gets up in the morning and after nap.  When I potty trained may two oldest girls they where both 2 1/2. But I started with trying different time throught the day.  After they were peeing sometime, we started wearing underwear, so they can feel when there are wet.  Their will be ACCIDANTS. So just relax.  If she likes to watch TV try, the potty training kid movies.
