What is the most convenient and stress free way to fly with a toddler, in terms of luggage, food, entertainment etc?

When I flew with my son I found these things helped. First, make sure you bring a light weight stroller for getting around the airport. Bring your child's favoriite snacks (goldish, teddy grahms, cheese-its ect). I would also bring a sippy cup, (or bottle if your little one is still taking one) have them drink it while the plane is taking off it helps pop their ears. I would also ask your pediatrition about eardrops. take her favorite interactive toy ( I put my son's away for a couple weeks before we travelled so it felt new to him on the plane and kept him entertained longer. And if you can make arrangments to get the bulkhead seat do it, you will have so much more room. Good luck and have a fun, safe trip!

We have travelled extensively with both of our children (ages 4 and 1 1/2) and all of Erin's advice is exactly what we did. We also had iPod's with videos on them to help with the boredom. The other thing that helps is to fly when you know they will nap, or at night. Much easier on you if they sleep. Hope this helps! Have a fun, and safe, trip!
