When did you start to introduce cows milk and did you start by adding a little to their bottle?

I tried mixing my daughter's with breast milk, but she hated it! So we alternated a cup of milk, then a cup of mommy milk and so on for about 10days and she didn't even care when we switched completely to cow's milk.

I went straight milk with my first at about 13 months. Coming up to that time again with my second. The only thing I'll do differently this time is introducing it more slowly. I'll still give straight milk, but only one drink a day and still give at least one drink of formula. The reason I'll do this is because my first son experienced constipation with the switch, and I've since learned that this is pretty common. I'm not worried about allergies or intolerance because he is eating other milk based products. Also learning from experience I'll be ensuring that he eats more fruits like pears while avoiding clogging fruits like apples and bananas to help avoid the constipation phase.

You are normally suppose to start with part formula part milk. Then work it's way into having all milk. Kids can sometimes have an intolerance to milk so it's easier on their belly's doing it that way. You should normally start them atleast trying right before they turn a year old. Hope this helps!!
