I have a 2 year 8 month old daughter who doesn't sleep during the day anymore and is going to bed at around 7.30 to 8.00pm but i am finding she is waking up 3 to 4 times a night demanding a bottle, this is the only time she demands to have a bottle and i am finding myself giving in every time to keep the rest of the house asleep because she will start of not to bad and end up screaming should i be giving in or is it time to get a set of ear plugs this is really starting to take its toll on myself as i am feeling very tired and i am noticing my daughter tired to but why wont she just sleep instead she thinks its a bottle time or even play time as she has wanted to get up also at night how do i get it through that night time is sleep time and no bottle..

Thank you jessica for your thoughts, yes i am a stay at home i like your suggestions i have enrolled shelby to start day care next week i have mentioned her sleeping to them and they will be trying to help i will be trying a few of your ideas at home i do have a routine but maybe i might need to be a bit more stricked its only shelby and myself at home during the day as older brother is at school so i tend to be more easy going i live on a bit of property and shelby just chases the animals most of the day so ill be needing to put my foot down and personally bring her inside and put in her bed. Thanks for your suggestions they all help.

Well you first need to figure out why is a 2 1/2 year old still waking up to eat/drink @ night. Is it hunger/thirst or comfort? I don't know if you are a stay at home mom or she goes to daycare but either way she still needs a nap. Try setting a routine, up at 0700 eat play eat NAP (even if it is a short one) start putting her down sometime after lunch. Start with putting her in bed for 15 min then gradually increase the time alone until she begins to get used to the alone time and will hopefully sleep.
