Hello Ruth

Can I ask why? Because I think it's very important that you communicate with anyone that has your child in their care, or how are you going to find out how your child is doing, or if there are any problems etc.... I wouldn't dream of leaving my son with anyone that I didn't have a good relationship with, but thats me.

It is important for your child to know that you are involved and take a personal interest in her education. It's not about you and what YOU want, it is about what is best for HER. Is there some reason you that you don't want to communicate with the teacher?

Personally, any person who is charged with teaching my child is someone i NEED to be involved with and deal with often. My daughter just started Preschool and I regularly see, talk to, phone, or email my teacher. I work really hard to know exactly how my daughter is doing in school and what she might need to work on. As your child's mother, it is your duty to keep tabs on her education. you are the first, most important teacher in your child's life and if you don't want someone else messing it up, i would suggest you be involved whether you want to or not.
