Is this normal?

Everytime I feed my one year old son, he sticks his fingers in his mouth, pulls out the food, and sticks it back in. Is this normal? Is there anyway I can stop it?

It is totally normal! Dont worrie about it, its a faze... that is how one year olds learn ... by touch.. if you try to stop it you are stopping a natural learning process... yes its messy , but its essential to there development!

Its totally normal. hes doing it probaly for two reasons. the first being he wants to show you he can feed himself, give him finger foods. and the second reason is probaly because you are feeding him he doesnt know what the thing is in his mouth and wants to investigate it. like how does it feel and smell. this is totally normal curios behavior. it might help to let him feed himself. after all he has to learn how to use a fork and spoon.
