My 16 mo. old son hasn't wanted to eat much in the last few weeks. He broke thru a molar and recently had the stomach flu, but does eat some things but not the foods he ate before. He loves his milk, but he needs more nutrition than that!

My 16 mo. old daughter is exactly the same way. She will drink her milk 'til the cows come home (no pun intended, really) but getting her to eat is something else. She used to love oatmeal, but not so much. Her new favorite food that we use as a substitute meal is cottage cheese. If I can't get her to eat much, we give her a cup of that and a banana.

My son is 23 months and he still goes through that. Eventually he will start eating. My son goes through growth spurts and will eat all day every day and then all of a sudden doesnt eat barely anything. Just keep trying! My boyfriend worries but it is my theory that a kid will eat when he is hungry, just keep putting food infront of him!
