I cant wait until my son starts talking.. He will b 2 in April and he is only just starting to get KINDA words out.. he cant actually say the full word yet, like truck = uck, mummy = mah, Daddy = dah. It gets really frustrating sometimes :(

I love it! my son is also 2 and a 1/2 and he comes out with there most funniest things. He adores postman pat and has recently started singing with is the most cutests thing ever.. he hardly spoke until the age of 2 and in the last 6 months he has gone from saying single words to starting full blown conversations. when he gets into bed of a evening he likes to talk about our events of the day and tell me what has made him happy and what had made him sad. he also behaves alot better since finding his speech and interacts better with older children. he's an absolute delight and i wouldnt change him for the world .

My Daughter is 23 months old and will be 2 in march. She's starting to use her words very well and this is the funniest thing in the world.

She calls her sister "sista" and refuses to call her by her name and sometimes she will call me by my name!

and when she can't get you to understand her and what she wants she will sulk and go to a corner. lol!!!

what can you do! I love this stage! and the dancing and singing Kills me!!! :)

My 20 month old is a little jabberbox. He's been saying "Mac and cheese, thank you Mommy!" for a few weeks now. He has recently discovered that his daddy is deaf, and this works greatly to his advantage. When he wants to play with his dog he'll run up to his dad and say (while signing) "BoBo barking, Daddy! BoBo barking!" Then he runs to the back door yelling, "Yeah yeah yeah yeah!" and grinning like a fool, knowing that his dad will come let the dog in. So cute!

I agree! It seems in the last few months, my 2 1/2 yr old son has gone from greeting me after work with a smile or wave to a complete run-down of his day. "I didn't take a nap!" "I sawa bird and he said tweet tweet." It's absolutely adorable, and so amazing how fast it's changing. Makes me a little sad, to see him growing up into a big boy, but also proud!!

My 2 year old isn't as verbal, but he knows all the letters, numbers, counting, colors, shapes.. Also, he likes to pretend. One day I'll say "hey Jonus, blah blah blah" and he'll say "no momma, I car" or "I dog". One day it was "I apples" and he'd run around and say "I roll away", or lick his arm and say "mmm I good".

It's so magical watching them learn and grow and seeing their little brains develop.
