Getting out of the bottle is a tough one!. I had a tough time both getting her onto it (she was breastfed till 18 months!) and out of it . But the only way to do it is preserve. Maybe you can start by weaning him out. For me, I started giving her milk by sipcup in the day..and let her use the bottle only at night. Once she got into that routine, I weaned her out of the bottle even at night and replaced with the cup. Took a bit of time and loads of tears and tantrums, but stick to it. Dont give in!

We just kept giving our daughter the sippy cup with milk and eventually she used it. It did involve a little crying but that was soon done with. Also you can get sippy cups that the top kinda look like a bottle it is a nuby one and it is called a sport cup. BUt basically what I would suggest is not to give in and give him the bottle just only offer him the cup he will get thirsty and he will take the cup.
