My 3y.o girl is impossible to dress in the moring. she's grumpy, whining and reluctant to get dressed and go to school. but she loves it when she's there. picking an outfit the night before helps but she always wants to wear the same thing whichy is another problem since I have a fortune worth of clothes in her closet.

I don't really have any tips on how to get her to get sressed in the morning, but I will say "pick your battles"  My nieces 5, 7 and 9 love to dress different from their classmates and they are allowed too (within reason) They have to be in clean clothes, no p.j.'s and they have to be dressed for the weather.  If they meet those rules, whatever the want to wear is fine.  I'm sure you daughter is just beginning to figure out what this whole "getting dressed" thing is all about.  And she is displaying HER sense of fashion, granted 3 year olds don't always have the best fashion sense, but if she is doing it by herself, that's one less thing you have to do.  I would focus on days when she needs to be dressed for a certain occasion, but for every day, is it worth a battle?  Plus, she has no idea how much you spent on her clothes, I know it is frustrating when she won't wear it, but it's not worth trying to convince her that she needs to wear every thing.

Sorry to be a "Debbie Downer" but chances are good this is a phase and once she is done expressing herself getting dressed should be easy again.  At least until she is a teen :)

I don't know if you have enough time in the morning, but my son was like that and I started to give him a bath or he would take a shower with his dad! That always seemed to help!
