We're moving to our new home soon, our daughter is 25MONTHS old and sleeps on a single bed at her Nanna's house (about once a week). We're thinking of selling her cot, and making her move straight into the new house, into her new bed, hoping the sudden transition into the toddler bed will go smoothly. HOWEVER, on the other hand, we're concerned she may freak, miss her cot and take the entire move difficult.

We don't want to be cruel and force her into the new bed, but maybe this is the right time??? ANY IDEAS are WELCOME!

I was wondering the same thing actually. We are moving to a house, and would like to put our 22 month old straight into a big boy bed so his little brother can have the crib. Did you try it out and did it work?

I would suggest that it is not the right time. I think with children it is best to do one change at a time. And for a lot of children giving up the crib is hard because that's been their security for so long! I know with our son we waited until there was nothing else going on to move him into his bed.
