HI Jamie,

as a psychic medium and clairvoyant energy healer, I can intuitively tell you that your baby is a crystal child. Crystal children are highly psychic and are hear to help the world by bringing more love and more gentleness. There is a book about the Crystal Children, by Dr. Doreen Virtue, and I have it, it is really good. In addition, my daughter is a crystal child and was delayed in walking and in speech. This is very common as you will read in her book. Your little one is developing just fine. Lots of love to you.

Angel Blessings,

I had the exact same problem and have just found out he couldnt hear probly which affected his balance, hence why he couldnt walk and also his talking. I had taken him to the doctors numeruos times about it but the kept brushing him off and saying it was just an ear invection, he is now nearly three and they have only just sent him to specialists. If he has had a few ear infections then your son could have the same problem, and it could be as simple as needing some gromits.

My first daughter didn't start walking until 17 months. We had her looked at by a Physical Therapist who recommended some exercises and activities to get her up and going. She was walking a week after the session. She's still not the most graceful, but she keeps up with her friends!

My son was thirteen mos. old and wasn't walking. I took him to the doctor and he referred us to an eye doctor. It turned out my son was far sided and needed glasses. He started walking after that. You might want to get him into an eye doctor. And as for talking all I can say is to keep talking to him and allow him to be around other kids that do talk as much as possible. My son was a late talker too but be patient he will start to talk with time. Hope this helps you and good luck

My son did not start walking until he was 16 months old. I was a little concerned about him. Now he is almost 20 months old and running around the house as we speak. I wouldn't worry about him yet. It'll come and then you'll be asking yourself why did I want him to walk, now he's into everything! lol

Does he crawl and babble? I would express my concerns to his doctor and question whether or not he needs to see a specialist. If he can say a few words (even if less than 5) and can stand while holding on to something then I would give him more time. Children develop at different rates.

My son's doc said that kids will learn to walk or talk but not both at the same time because there brain does not work that way. My son is almost 15 months and is not walking but is starting to walk along couches. He is just starting to say words other than dada, mama, and baba. It will come in time.

I agree with the walking exercises! We've already seen him walk with toys and he can walk along furniture so you know he can do it. Just take his shoes off and help him walk around. Oh and cheer for him and make a big deal whenever he does it!

Every baby learns at a different pace! My nephews were 14 and 16 months (twins) when they started and now they run everywhere. My daughter has a little play grocery cart, which I think is what really taught her at 10 months. You might want to invest in something he can push around to help him get a feel? I wouldn't worry though, as long as he does everything else, he's just being lazy with this! lol.

My last 3 kids didn't want to walk until they were 14to15m. They could crawl faster than they could walk so they just kept on crawling. Crawling is good for them is he scooting on furniture? Just practice by walking between 2 people. He will do it eventually.
