My 2.5 year old daughter is afraid of baths/showers - Help

For the past few weeks my 2.5 year old daughter has developed a fear of bathtubs, showers. It is a huge battle and there is lots of crying, bribing, yelling and I am just so frustrated. I don't know what to do. She used to love the bath and playing in the water. I bought her special bath toys, specail crayons for the bath, we tried the shower but she keeps running away saying scared. she is scared of the shower head and the water that comes out. she also says pee pee all the time - when I asked her if she is afraid of making in the tub she said yes - we keep giving her options like wearing a little swimmer in the tub so if there would be an accident it would be contained, we tired putting the potty next to the bathtub and telling her she can come out whenever she needs to. nothing is working. I am at my wits end. I have heard forcing her is the worst thing to do - and i am guilty of that. I just dont' know what esle to do to get her to bathe. any suggestions? They have started toilet training at day care a few months ago and i don't think she is ready but apparently they do at the day care so it is a very confusing time for both of us. but that is a totally different topic.

Thank you

I would say its exacty the same topic she may feel confused about potty training and this is her rejecting it. Ease the pressure on potty training tell her she can do it when shes ready i didn't start my child till she was three. My little girl hates bathing also but you have to do it. I sing to her while shes having a shower and if she throws a wobbly i just wash her as quick as i can!!
