My 2 girls are the same way. One is 2 1/2 and the other is 6 years. I started having talks with them at night. (well as much as you can with a 2 1/2 year old.) I still do the time out thing and of course if they are fighting over a toy or something I normally just take it away and put it up for a while. (they've lost quite a bit of toys to this), and it helps. They still fight and scream at each other like there is no tomorrow, but the talks with my 6 year old help a little. She is able to have the one on one time that she was used to and she tells me her feelings and I ask her what I can do to help her be "my big girl", "the big sister". (I think it helps her to know that even though a lot of my attention is on the younger one, she still gets time with just me) & With Daddy gone a lot (military), I let her know that she is my big helper, and that she (pretty much) teaches her little sister EVERYTHING.. So she has some around a bit. Every situation is different, but I hope this helps a little.

i'm going through the same thing my boys are 2 and 3 and a 2 year old is a handful he throws tantrums and sreams i have been using timeout method that seems to change his mood a little it's a stage where they want to be independent and vocal so i think we both are gonna be riding this one out.i know it's not sounding all that great right now but i keep telling myself he won't be 2 forever so enjoy the young years because they grow to fast.:)
