My son refuses to sleep both at nap and at night. It will take him hours to fall asleep. He isnt screaming or being naughty(most of the time) he just doesnt sleep. He will roll around on his bed play with his blanket, etc....Every third day or so he will crash for a nap, but that just makes night time harder. Even when I can tell his poor little body is exhausted he still doesnt fall alseep.

my Daughter was the same, and no matter how hard i tried it just wouldn't work. so gave her dinner 2 hours before bed and no snacks or juice after dinner just water. i stopped giving her baths and put her in the shower instead. give her a warm bottle of milk in bed and read her a book or 2 but i would only read if she was lying down. after the book (dont let them negotiate) turn off the light and sit near the bed as soon as they start to move or cry say no its bed time. and keep the door closed. its taken a few weeks but she now sleeps and its not a fight

They actually need the nap cause the more overtired a child is the harder it is for them to get to sleep. I tried the no nap thing and it made it harder to get my daughter to sleep cause she was so overtired. What we did was put her in bed and every time she got out we would go back in a out her back in bed and kept it up til she fell asleep. She did cry a little but sometimes they have to cry and you will know if it's an I want attention cry or a something is wrong cry. You could also try getting him up earlier if he goes to bed say 12am by the time he falls asleep get him up at 7 keep doing this and eventually he will go to bed at a good time and with no fuss, my mother in-law did this and it helped her. A child at the age of two needs 12-14hrs of sleep.

Don't EVER let him nap. Let him do as much as he can during the day. let him run and run. Get him up earlier and go to bed later. I hope this helps
