Do you know if Gabriella is afraid of anything? How old is Gabriella?

My daughter was afraid of witches a month or so back and so I bought her a special blanket and told her that the witches cant come in her room if her special blanket on her bed and it seems to have worked, night terrors have stopped. We also drew a large elephant on her wall to stop the naughty "sharp teeth"(dinosaurs) from coming in too. My daughter is almost 3 though so it would depend on how old your little girl is as to what will work.

Other things that can give children night terrors are even small upsets in routine and family life, such as if you and a partner were a bit tense lately or you've changed bed time or been irregular with it. Also fevers and lack of sleep are known to cause sleep terrors too.

I had a look at a few websites when my daughter went through troubled sleep and I've included the link for you: http://www.essortment.com/all/nightterro... also another goodie which refers more to younger children is: http://www.chw.edu.au/parents/factsheets...

Hope this information helps you and Gabriella get some good sleep :)

your lil girl is prob very active during the day and her brain is still over stimulated b4 she goes to sleep...be aware of what she watches on tv during the day too...

The best thing when she "wakes" up with night terrors is not to wake her but just soothe her back to sleep (its dangerous waking pple up when they have night terrors...technically they're still asleep)...

with my lil boy i try to get him to do calming activities b4 bedtime (2hrs b4 bedtime) such as doing puzzles, singing, simon says, coloring/drawing so that he's not too worked up b4 sleep...

I also find when my lil one has a bad day and cries alot that day he tends to have bad sleep too...bottom line is u really need to look at your days activities..

hope that helps a lil
