My kid was the same - but just started sleeping through magically at 21 months - yay me!! But one thing which might help is don't let her have milk if she wakes for a drink - just water - that helped me some.

My kidlet does the same thing. We're just now starting to put her in her own room. She goes to sleep in her room and around 5am she barges into our room and snatches our pillows and acts wacky. She also like to stunt nurse.

My Daughter is 23 months old and she also gets up like 2-3 times a night. Basically for the same reasons your little one is getting up. Depending on what she is asking for I just ignore it or if she really needs something I will get it. Last night she had 3 cups of milk, and needed her tag. After the 2nd milk run, i told her dont drink it all because you have had enough, and you are not getting anymore! She didnt ask me again during the night. My little one has never been a good sleeper! Some kids just arent. It will pass. Stick with what your doing, 2-3 times is better than 5 or 6! LOL! I feel your pain!

every child is different and my first child was a terrible sleeper! I only found out later on that she had silent reflux which woke her often and as time went on caused terrible tonsilitis. So bad habits were formed that no matter what we did we couldnt get her out of. The best advice I ever got was to throw away the books that tell you how you should parent and how your child should be. Babies have very short sleep cycles that grow longer as they get older. the short cycle can mean that as infants they can wake up every 40 minutes as they go from deep to light sleep - nightmarish!! trust me there were times that I was up 7 -10 times a night! I eventually decided to follow my instincts and took my daughter into my bed and snuggled her up. My presence comforted her and she woudl sleep much better and we would all get some sleep. she started every night in her own bed and by the time she was three she had stopped coming through for cuddles and now sleeps through from 7 -7. My second baby is a great sleeper - they are all different. Good luck and when you are feeling desperate, follow your instincts - you know your child best and can make the best decisions! Good luck!

Oy, been there. Mine just turned 3 and JUST now finally sleeps until about 5 or 6 am, then crawl in bed with us for another hour or two. Sorry I don't have much help, only sympathy. It helps him to be in a smaller bed - we put a bedrail on his twin bed, and the other side against the wall. Don't know why he hated sleep so much!!!
