my 2year old son doesnt have a sleep pattern , how do i make his sleep pattern ??

he is 2 year old and takes a nap for 2 hours onyl once a day..a very active baby, but doesnt sleep well in the night ...no fixed time and wakes up early mornings if also he is sleepy i do not understand why ???

Babies THRIVE on routine...I totally wiped out the naps for my daughter these past few months unless she is in an unusually terrible mood...then i give her 30-45 min...her bed time is 7:30 EVERY night even on the weekends...no acceptations....just make a routine that works for your family and stick to your guns he wont like it at first but he will get used to the schedule and love it! My daughter actually comes to me and asks me if it is bed time yet because she knows about when it is in the evening...

I agree my son had a bed routine from early on and it worked. My might find he doesn't need as long a nap as you are giving him. My little boy stopped napping at two

i agree with christie, a routine is very important and very helpful! we have a 2 1/2 yr old, and he has dinner at 5.30 every day, then up to bath, then into his bedroom for pj's, a warm drink, and stories to calm him down. after his bath he doesnt come downstairs again! kids like routine so once you establish yours it will help you both! you may get a few nights of tears but they soon get bored of crying and just go to sleep! good luck!

The best thing to do is start a routine with him. I have tow kids, a 1 year old and a 2 year old, and this is what works for us. Every night at 6:30 we go upstairs and have a bath. They get to splash around and relax a bit. Then we put them in their pjs, and in their cribs. They get a sippy cup with water, and a bedtime story. Then we leave them to fall asleep on their own. They are usually asleep by 7:30, and sleep till 7 the next morning. It was hard at first but we kept at it. You can adjust the bedtime to what works best for you. I hope this helps.
