Please check out the potty training tips at the top of the toddler home page, this is a totally normal thing for kids to do, my second daughter was the exact same as well as lots of other kids I have looked after. I explain why and how to deal with it in the post, it doesn't last long an is just a phase she'll soon grow out of.

My daughter was trained by age two, but up until about 2 and a half she wouldn't poop in the potty either... I don't know how to tell you to get your daughter to go.BUT I can tell you that her pediatrician said it was perfectly normal for kids to do 1 and not 2 for a while... even when she did start to do 2 in the potty, she wouldn't go on the "grown up" potty but she had to go on HERS when we were home... If we were out, she wouldn't & still wont go..(that i guess she got from me--unless it's an emergency, i wont go outside of home)
I grabbed her up a couple of times whn i could catch her, but that actually just scared her and made her constipated... good luck

I never used a potty for any of my kids they had a seat direct onto the toilet with a step. I had no problems at all I took them to the toilet regularly and asked them if they needed to go and if it was a successful visit I said what a big boy you are using the toilet. I am hoping the same approach will work for my little girl when the time comes.

haha nice, My daughter was the same way. She would not poo no matter what I did or tried. I caught her trying to poo one day sitting behind the chair, to I rushed! Took off her diaper and put her on the potty. Then sat by her and sang a song until she was done! When she was done I praised her to doing a GREAT job and gave a little high five.

Think I only did this a handful of times and she has not had a problem since. Most children have a harder time pooing in the potty than peeing. It's okay, take a deep breath and try again :)
